Common problems no matter how small can lead to serious and expensive problems!
Do you face some of the problems below?
When the top of a radiator is cold during operation, either air or hydrogen is to blame. Hydorgen gas builds up as a by-product of electroytic corrosion and is flammable (due caution is required). |
If deposits of black and red sludge and timescale build up to a point where heat transfer is severely restricted, the boiler can overheat and fracture. |
This is a sure sign of trouble as the noise increases in frequency and intensity due to deposits of sludge and scale build up in an unprotected boiler. |
Like any working part of the system, radiators are prone to corrosion from installation debris and can fail within a few years. New systems must be pre--commission cleansed and protected and existing systems should also be thoroughly cleansed and protected. |
The abrasive and magnetic properties of black oxide sludge increase shaft and bearing wear in pumps and valve actuators, causng them to either stick or fail. |
Without treatment, corrosion debris will accumulate ni the boiler causing increasng Limescale deposits, reduced heat transfer ands up to a third of the fuel bill going to complete waste. |
The familiar cool low central area of a radiator indictaes a build up of black sludge sediment taht restricts flow and reduces heat. |
A combination of loose gland nuts, failed or failing O rings and poor packing around the stem of the radiator are usually to blame. |

Heating and Plumbing Services utilises only the best and state of the art equipment for each assigned job.
The Fernox Powerflow is a powerful acid-proof flushing pump designed to make short work of cleaning boiler and radiator systems without removing radiators.
It can also double up as a descaling pump for heat exchangers. Powerflow saves time on site; when used in conjunction with Fernox Superconcentrate System Cleaner and Neutraliser, only one visit to site is required to powerflush & complete central heating system. |

For those occasions when internal space is limited, the external boilers offer total flexibility and are designed to be simple and quick to install. These totally self contained units are supplied in a pre -coated olive green casing which is fully insulated and protected
The internal combi is compact yet extremely powerful. At only 595mm wide it is similar in size to most standard kitchen appliances but is still capable of producing over 18 litres of hot water per minute (UC), 15 litres per minute (UC).
By utilising the latest twin pump system and an integral thermal heat store within the boiler casing, the boiler is able to provide plenty of hot water when you need it, as well as helping to keep your heating costs to a minimum.
